Dr. Barish joined Wake Internal Medicine in 1985. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Barish also founded Wake Research Associates in 1985, and has become a respected thought leader in both the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry. He has authored and co-authored articles regarding gastrointestinal disorders in numerous medical journals and books. Above all else, Dr. Barish enjoys caring for patients; he derives great satisfaction by attempting to provide the finest care possible.

Dr. Ender joined Wake Internal Medicine in 1993. He has previously served as an instructor to medical students and residents at the University of North Carolina program at WakeMed Hospital. Currently, he is a physician volunteer with the Project Access program of Wake County. Dr. Ender is also a member of the Triangle Community Foundation and a board member of several local charities. His academic interests include gastrointestinal clinical research, bioinformatics and medical education. He is currently a member of the endoscopy committee at Rex Hospital.
