WIMC is dedicated to our patients medical needs, and offers a variety of ancillary testing in our office. They will begin their gynecology practice in June and July of 2010. Wake Women's Health is currently accepting new patients and taking appointments, so please call (919)719-2600 to schedule your appointment. Their website is currently under construction, but will be available soon for further information on this new addition!
Wake Women’s Health will follow the same policies and procedures set by Wake Internal Medicine Consultants, Inc. We participate with the following insurances BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, Wellpath, Aetna and Medcost. If you are covered under an insurance company that we are not contracted with (only exception-Medicare Advantage Plans), we will be happy to still see you. We ask that you pay at the time of your visit and we will file your claim as a courtesy. We are non-participating with Medicare. We will file your claim as non-assigned, you will pay for your visit at the time of service and Medicare will reimburse you in a couple weeks. For more details, please see the Medicare section on our website. Please read below regarding our physicians and any of the Medicare Advantage plans.
New Physicians
We are pleased to announce the addition of three new physicians to our practice! Dr. Heather Rivera Gutekunst will start at our Durant Road location in North Raleigh on July 1, 2010 where she will practice Allergy/Clinical Immunology, as well as Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Bhavna Bhat joined us on March 1, 2010 at our Blue Ridge Road location where she practices Internal Medicine. She is currently accepting new patients!
Medicare Advantage Patients
WIMC has elected to be a non-contracting provider with the Medicare Advantage program. As you contemplate the options you have for Medicare coverage, please keep in mind that WIMC does not contract with any Medicare Advantage plans. Therefore, if you choose to get Medicare coverage through a Medicare Advantage plan, we are unable to see you as a patient.

After Hours Care
To better serve you, our affiliated Rx Urgent Care center provides extended coverage for our patients after hours at both of our locations. They are open from 8AM-8PM, Monday thru Friday and 9AM-3PM on Saturday and Sunday.
